Creative Elena visits Canterbury and Kent’s Creative Coast

Last week I was pleased to meet  Elena Paschinger or @creativelena as she is known on Twitter where we ‘met’. Elena and I share an interest in and passion for creative tourism and we had arranged to meet when she next visited the UK from her home in Vienna in Austria.

If anyone is going to spread the word about creative tourism it will be Elena. She is so enthusiastic it’s infectious and her visit really invigorated me. You can read what she thought about her visit to Canterbury and Kent’s Creative Coast here

If you haven’t already signed up to receive my regular e-news about how you can be creative and enjoy creative happenings in Kent’s coastal towns and beyond please sign up now.

Meanwhile, for some creative inspiration, maybe  visit Herne Bay and enjoy the Duchamp Festival. As I said on Twitter this week; Is it art? Who cares? It’s really amusing. Go see!

This  week-end I’ll be in Whitstable for the launch of White Horses Whitstable, a floating gallery of art and a great collaboration between artists and Whitstable Sailing Club.

I’ll also be spending some time making the final preparations for my first art exhibition; ‘A Collaboration in Colour’ with textile artist Jan Lewis. We’ll be showing at one of the Kent coast’s newest creative hubs, Beach Creative in Herne Bay from Wednesday 14th – Tuesday 20 August. Please come and say hello – I’ll be there from 10-1 each morning. 10% of all my sales will be donated to Whitstable based Trust Sulha a fund-raising organisation that helps to educates young Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
